Rummyprime GST policy
Effective from 1 October 2023, the new GST policy will be applicable for all rummy games in India. This means that on every add cash, you will now have to pay 28% GST. But don’t worry, Rummyprime has got you covered. Here’s how:
Understand the GST policy
Why is GST being charged on my deposit?
As of 1st October 2023, the government will be charging 28% GST for all online rummy games in India. The 28% GST will be deducted every time you make a deposit in your online rummy wallet.
How is GST calculation done on my deposit amount?
Every time you make a deposit to your online rummy wallet, the government will deduct 28% GST. But, on Rummyprime we ensure that you can get the full value of your deposit amount as per the calculation given below.
For Example You deposit Rs.100 and 28% GST (₹21.85) goes to the government. You’re left with ₹78.15. This deficit of ₹21.85 is fulfilled by Rummyprime using Play Credits & Bonus+. In this example, the player will be given Play Credits worth 11.85 and Bonus+ worth 10. So the player can get their entire deposit amount of ₹100 and use it to play cash games for the same Buy-in value.
From when will GST start getting charged?
All players deposit shall be subject to GST at the rate of 28% to the government on every deposit (Add Cash) from 1st October 2023 onwards. This is applicable for all players on online money gaming apps.
Who is charging this GST?
The government is charging GST at the rate of 28% on every deposit (Add Cash). Rummyprime plays no role in taxes applied by the government.
How do I deposit the GST amount to the government?
During deposit (Add Cash), the platform will automatically calculate the GST amount. This amount will be submitted paid to the government. As a proof, a GST invoice will be generated and provided to all players. This will be visible and can be downloaded from the Add Cash success screen and the Wallet section.
Impact of GST on Add Cash
Do I need to pay GST on every Add Cash?
Yes. As per the new GST laws published by the government, GST at the rate of 28% will be charged on every Add Cash (deposit) made by the player. On Rummyprime you will get Play Credits and Bonus+ on your deposit, which will ensure that you get the full value of the amount you deposit. There is no GST applicable on Play Credits or Bonus+. Using Play Credits, you will be able to play games at a discounted buy-in and this will allow you to play more games for the same amount of Add Cash.
Why is ₹28 GST on deposit of ₹100 the wrong calculation?

Do I need to add cash every time if I want to play more games?
As a business owner, can I claim GST refund?
No. GST refund cannot be claimed by business owners. This is because during the KYC process, players are allowed to verify using individual PANs and not business PANs.
What offers are available on Add Cash on Rummyprime?
Rummyprime will be running offers through which players can get Play Credits during Add Cash. Players will also be eligible for Bonus+ on the Add Cash amount. Please note that offers are subject to change and may not be available for all players.
In case I request for a refund of my deposited value, will my GST amount also get refunded?
As per the GST Law, once the GST gets paid to the government during deposit, it will not be refunded back to you. However, the balance amount (excluding GST) will be returned to the account from where you made the payment.
What will be the proof of GST submitted to the government by Rummyprime?
During deposit (Add Cash), the platform will automatically calculate the GST amount. This amount will be submitted to the government on the player's behalf by the platform. As a proof, a GST invoice will be generated and provided to all players. This will be visible and can be downloaded from the Add Cash success screen and the Wallet section.
Impact of GST on withdrawals
How many times can I withdraw in a day on Rummyprime?
The new rummyprime app will allow unlimited withdrawals. Now players can withdraw as many times as they want, and as much as they want in a day.
